Several Palestinian factions on Saturday morning announced the launch of activities that will be held until the end of the current week in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
This came during a news conference held by the committee of prisoners which are affiliated with major Palestinian factions in Gaza.
A spokesman for the committee said the activities would start every day from 09:00 am until 12:00 at noon in a tent pitched outside the Red Cross headquarters in Gaza City.
In a speech on behalf of the factions senior Islamic Jihad official Khaled al-Batsh called for necessarily continuing to organize events in support of the Palestinian prisoners.
Batsh also urged the citizens in the West Bank to use all possible means to respond to Israel’s violations against the prisoners in its jails stressing the need to adopt the resistance as a strategy to extract the freedom of prisoners.
