A high-level delegation from the Hamas Movement in the Gaza Strip left for Cairo on Wednesday afternoon to meet with Egyptian officials before flying later to the Russian capital Moscow.
An official source from Hamas told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the delegation is composed of several members of the Movement’s political bureau.
The Russian foreign ministry sent an official invitation last month to Ismail Haneyya head of Hamas’s political bureau to visit Moscow.
Russian ambassador to Palestine Haider Rashid already handed over the invitation to Haneyya during a meeting held on November 28 at the latter’s house in Gaza.
