The Palestinian health ministry in the Gaza Strip on Saturday reported one new death associated with COVID-19 (coronavirus) and 110 new positive tests during the last 24 hours.
In a brief statement the ministry said that 55-year-old Nahedh Hasan a resident of Jabalia in northern Gaza died of the virus in the intensive care unit of the Gaza European Hospital.
110 citizens were diagnosed with the disease during the last 24 hours in Gaza the ministry added.
Accordingly the total number of the COVID-19 patients in Gaza has climbed to 713 since last March and 603 of them are currently active cases. 89 patients also recovered and five others died from the disease during the same period.
