Gaza: Over 780 passengers crossed into Egypt on Saturday

Eight buses carrying 783 passengers left the Gaza Strip through the Rafah border crossing on Saturday after the Egyptian authorities decided to open it for two consecutive days.
The crossings and border authority in Gaza stated that 11 patients left Gaza aboard ambulances while one of the buses was boarded by citizens holding Egyptian passports.
61 political academic and media figures were also able to cross into Egypt to participate in a conference to be held in Cairo.
The authority noted that other citizens would be allowed to travel on Sunday through the crossing in accordance with the lists of names announced on the website of the Palestinian interior ministry.
According to the interior ministry in Gaza the Egyptian authorities will also reopen the crossing for another four days as of next Wednesday.
25000 Palestinians including 4000 patients have registered for travel through the crossing.
