Dozens of angry Gazan young men in Deir al-Balah city on Thursday afternoon torched pictures of US president Donald Trump and Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu in protest at the former’s recognition of Jerusalem as a capital for the Israeli occupation state.
Earlier several students rallied on Salahuddin road east of Gaza and closed it with burning tires. They also carried placards and chanted slogans condemning Trump and his declaration.
In remarks to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) protesters expressed their anger over Trump’s decision on Jerusalem describing it as “provocative” and calling for strong Arab and Islamic action in response to the US step.
