A number of families left the Gaza Strip on Monday to visit their relatives imprisoned in Israel’s Nafha jail in the Negev.
Spokeswoman for the International Committee of the Red Cross Suheir Zaqqout told the PIC that 20 members of Gazan families including 7 children headed aboard buses for the Nafha prison to visit 12 prisoners.
Palestinian detainees are held under harsh conditions in Israeli jails which have no protection means against heavy rains and cold temperatures and lack sufficient winter clothing and blankets.
