GAZA (PIC)– The sole electricity generation station in Gaza came to a halt on Saturday night for the third time in less than a month after it ran out of fuel.
The energy and natural resources authority in Gaza announced in a statement that the station used lately to operate only one of its four turbines due to fuel shortage.
It noted that the shutdown coincides with the Israeli military escalation against the Strip which further complicated the situation in Gaza and doubled the suffering of its population.
The authority appealed to officials and concerned parties to expedite supplying the station with enough fuel through official channels to guarantee its uninterrupted re-operation so as to alleviate the people’s suffering.
