Gazans bid last farewell to elderly farmer killed by Israeli sniper

Hundreds of Palestinians marched at noontime Sunday in the funeral procession of 59-year-old Mohamed Abu Jame’ shot by an Israeli sniper while working in his land in Khuza’a town east of Khan Younis.

Abu Jame’s funeral kicked off from Gaza’s European Hospital on way to his home in Bani Suheila east of Khan Younis. His body was buried at the local cemetery.

The mourners lifted the Palestinian flag chanting slogans condemning Israel’s murder of Abu Jame’ and its crimes against the Palestinian people.

The marchers called on the Palestinian resistance to take a firm response against the Israeli crimes against civilians.

Abu Jema’ was shot by an Israeli sniper in his lower back while he was working in his land east of Khuza’a town east of Khan Younis. He was evacuated to Gaza’s European Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
