Palestinians in Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip on Friday afternoon bade farewell to Abdul-Karim Ridwan who was killed by an Israeli airstrike Thursday.
Thousands of Palestinians took part in the funeral which set off following Friday prayer and chanted slogans supporting the Palestinian resistance and calling for revenge.
Ridwan was killed Thursday after Israeli warplanes targeted a resistance post east of Rafah. Three other Palestinians were injured in the attack.
The Palestinian resistance responded by firing a volley of mortar shells at Israeli settlements neighboring the Gaza Strip and the Qassam Brigades Hamas’s armed wing announced that Ridwan was one of their fighters and stressed that the Israeli occupation will pay a heavy price.
