Hundreds of Palestinians on Sunday marched in the funerals of martyrs Belal al-Najjar 17 and Tamer Abu al-Kheir 18 who were killed by the Israeli occupation forces while taking part in the Great March of Return on Saturday.
Abu al-Kheir and al-Najjar are two of four Palestinians shot dead by Israeli snipers during Saturday’s peaceful protests which marked the first anniversary of the Great March of Return and the Palestinian Land Day.
The Palestinians in the Gaza Strip launched the Great March of Return on 30 March 2018 to demand the return of Palestinian refugees and call for lifting the 13-year-long blockade on Gaza.
The Israeli occupation army have quelled the unarmed demonstrations with excessive force killing 280 protesters and injuring at least 31000 500 of whom are in critical condition.
