General strike declared in Occupied Jerusalem

Monday 7-March-2022

The national and Islamic forces in Occupied Jerusalem declared a general strike on Monday in mourning over the two Palestinians who were shot and killed by Israeli police.

The national and Islamic forces called on the Palestinian people to mobilize and protest against Israeli escalated crimes.

Two Palestinians including a 14-year-old boy were killed by Israeli occupation police in less than 24 hours.

Earlier on Sunday Israeli municipal authorities handed the Jerusalemite citizen Mahmoud Al-Sa’u from Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood an order to get rid of his dog.

The Israeli authorities threatened to confiscate the dog and to fine its owner with $12000 if he didn’t respond to the order in five days.

Al-Sa’u stressed that the Israeli order came as part of Israel’s systematic harassment against the people of Jerusalem and the people of Sheikh Jarrah in particular especially that he receives peace activists on almost daily basis.

Al-Sa’u whose three sons are held under house arrest and the fourth is behind Israeli bars stressed that he would never leave his house despite the Israeli persecution and displacement policy.
