A general strike has taken place in the West Bank province of al-Khalil and paralyzed all aspects of life on Monday.
The strike which was called for by the local authorities has been staged to protest the Israeli occupation army’s plan to build a new settler neighborhood in the closed wholesale market of the Old City.
The strike is also intended to protest Israel’s appropriation of a Palestinian house in al-Khalil city and the Judaization activities taking place at the Ibrahimi Mosque.
