A general strike has been declared in Bethlehem province in mourning for martyr Ahmed Manasera a young man from Wadi Fukin village who was cold-bloodedly shot dead by Israeli soldiers last night.
The strike was called for by the factional coordination committee in Bethlehem where all sectors including businesses schools and universities will close their doors.
Local officials said that only the health sector would remain open to provide vital services for citizens.
In this regard Bethlehem mayor Kamel Hameed condemned what happened to Manasera and appealed to the international community to immediately take action to curb Israel’s savagery.
Manasera was shot dead on Wednesday night aboard a car as he was trying to transfer a wounded citizen to hospital according to local sources.
