Germany postpones submarine deal with Israel

Germany on Tuesday postponed signing a submarine deal with Israel in the wake of a corruption probe known as Case 3000 Yediot Ahronot reported.

The German government has postponed the sale of three submarines to Israel in light of Israel’s investigation into possible corruption in the deal the sources said.

According to the daily the signing of the memorandum was meant to take place next week in Germany but the event has been postponed indefinitely.

Last week Israel’s War Ministry Director General Udi Adam traveled to Germany and met with his German counterpart in an attempt to prevent the deal cancellation.

However reports affirmed the postponement of the deal and not its cancellation.
