Member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Kayed al-Ghoul on Saturday called for the urgent implementation of the reconciliation agreement in order to alleviate the suffering of the Gazan people.
In a press statement to the PIC Ghoul expressed his hope that all issues will be addressed within a national framework that is far from any factional considerations.
Ghoul demanded the Palestinian Authority (PA) government to take urgent steps based on what was agreed upon between Fatah and Hamas in Cairo to improve the living conditions of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The PFLP leader stressed that everyone must realize the importance of pluralism in the Palestinian political system that should be used as a pressure tool against the Israeli occupation.
Before the signing of the reconciliation agreement Ghoul said in earlier statements to the PIC that the PA president Mahmoud Abbas had vowed to cancel all the punitive measures imposed on the people of Gaza once Hamas dissolves the administrative committee.
