The six recaptured Palestinian prisoners who tunneled out of the high-security Israeli Gilboa prison last year have continued to face Israeli punitive measures a rights group revealed Monday.
The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission affirmed that the six prisoners are moved from one cell to another every three months.
The prisoner Mahmoud Al-Ardah is suffering difficult detention conditions as he continues to be held in solitary confinement along with the other five escapees.
Last month Al-Ardah was transferred to the notorious Rimonem prison.
Head of the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission Qadri Abu Bakr condemned the Israeli revenge policy “practiced against the six prisoners who were recaptured after fleeing Gilboa prison.”
The Israeli occupation authorities have earlier sentenced the six Palestinian prisoners to five additional years in prison.
The six convicted are Mahmoud Ardah Mohammed Ardah Iham Kamamji Yaqoub Qadri Munadil Infaat and Zakaria Zubaidi.
Furthermore the Israeli court sentenced the six to a suspended sentence of eight months and a fine of roughly $1487.
