Several Palestinians including a girl were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from the West Bank and Jerusalem at daybreak Tuesday.
The Israeli army claimed responsibility for the abduction of eight Palestinians on claims of involvement in anti-occupation activities.
According to the Israeli army statement arms ammunition and anti-occupation materials were found in Bani Na’im town east of al-Khalil while a gas grenade was found in Ni’lin town west of Ramallah.
Reporting from Nablus a PIC news correspondent said eight Israeli army patrols stormed Tel town to the west and cordoned off the home of the Palestinian citizen Assaad Rayhan before soldiers kidnapped his 25-year-old daughter Soujoud.
The IOF showered the town with over 20 teargas canisters resulting in suffocation cases.
Overnight Palestinian youngster Amir Sweilam was kidnapped by the IOF near Zaatara checkpoint.
22-year-old ex-prisoner Dirar Qubala was further kidnapped from his own family home in Iba town west of Nablus at the crack of dawn.
At the same time two Palestinians including a 19-year-old youth were kidnapped by the IOF from the southern West Bank province of al-Khalil.
The IOF wreaked havoc on civilian homes in al-Khalil’s southern neighborhood Abu Esneineh quarter and Bani Na’im.
Meanwhile the Israeli army troops stormed Tubas and broke into the home of Palestinian citizen Mohamed Daraghma before they kidnapped his 17-year-old son Seif and cracked down on his family members.
The IOF further kidnapped 18-year-old Jamal Musalamani from his family home in Tubas.
Another Palestinian citizen was arrested by the IOF at the Zaatara military checkpoint.
IOF patrols were meanwhile spotted on the access road between Tulkarem province and Anab checkpoint where ambushes and checkpoints were arbitrarily set up.
The campaign culminated in the abduction of 29-year-old Munadel Mujadba from northern Tulkarem.
