Gov’t committee welcomes Syrian aid convoy Scottish delegation

GAZA (PIC)– The Government committee assigned to receive visiting delegations to the Gaza Strip on Monday welcomed the Syrian aid convoy and the Scottish delegation that are expected in the Strip within the few coming days.

Hamdy Shaat chairman of the committee said in a press release that the Syrian convoy would leave Syria on Monday en route to Gaza carrying medical and humanitarian aid in addition to foodstuff.

He noted that the convoy is composed of six trucks and would carry one ton of sweets as a gift from the Damascus confectionaries.

Shaat said that the Scottish delegation led by MSP Pauline MCneill is expected in Gaza on Thursday. He welcomed and appreciated all attempts to break the siege on Gaza.
