Two ministers from the Palestinian Authority (PA) government on Sunday arrived in the Gaza Strip via Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing to complete the implementation of the reconciliation agreement’s terms.
The PIC reporter said that two delegations led by the PA Minister of Local Government Husein al-A’raj and Minister of Transportation Samih Tbeila arrived in Gaza on Sunday afternoon.
He added that later in the day the member of the Fatah Central Committee Major General Ismail Jaber entered the Gaza Strip through the same crossing.
The PIC reporter pointed out that the PA Minister of National Economy Abeer Oudeh chairman of the Palestine Investment Fund Mohammed Mustafa and undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance Farid Ghannam are expected to visit Gaza on Sunday along with two delegations from the ministries of Health and Agriculture.
Fatah and Hamas movements on the 12th October signed a national reconciliation deal at the headquarters of the Egyptian General Intelligence in Cairo.
The agreement provides for enabling the PA government to take over the administrative control of the Gaza Strip by 1st December and working to resolve all the problems caused by the internal division.
Following the signing of the Cairo agreement the Egyptian government called for a meeting between the Palestinian factions on 21st November to discuss arrangements related to holding legislative and presidential elections and restructuring the Palestine Liberation Organization.
