Hanadi Halawani a Jerusalemite activist announced on Friday evening that she had been infected with the coronavirus due to deliberate Israeli police negligence.
Halawani said in a post on her personal Facebook page “I was diagnosed with coronavirus and with complete satisfaction of Allah’s will but I am sure that I got the virus from the occupation police during the last two arrests.”
“I confirm that none of them keeps wearing the mask nor maintaining a safe distance including the policeman who stopped me at the door to the interrogation rooms and the female conscript who searched me in addition to transporting me in a crowded car” she added.
Halawani stressed that none of the Israeli soldiers and policemen cares about any health standards. “They do not care whether they are infected or not but they are happy to transmit it to us” she explained.
The activist was subjected to a successive series of arrests by the Israeli police because of her permanent stationing in the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its courtyards.
More than 130 Palestinian prisoners in the occupation’s prisons were infected with the coronavirus as a result of the occupation’s deliberate medical and health negligence in addition to blocking entry of sterilizers and necessary preventive measures to them.
