GAZA (PIC)– In spite of the truce that PA premier Ismail Haneyya has succeeded to reach between Fatah and Hamas Movements late Monday night PA presidential guards (PG) ambushed a field commander of the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas Tuesday morning.
The ambushed commander was identified as Ibrahim Maneyya 45 who is a known QB leader in the Shujaia suburb and included on Israel’s list of assassination targets.
According to QB sources Maneyya was inspecting a group of QB fighters guarding the eastern borders of the Strip against any surprise IOF troops’ advance when his vehicle was peppered with “treacherous” bullets fired by the PG forces manning a roadblock near the industrial area east of the Strip.
The vehicle the sources added overturned and seriously wounded Maneyya before he died of his wounds moments later. Another QB fighter who was in Maneyya’ company is believed to be in serious condition.
In the wake of incident members of the QB surrounded outposts of the PA national security forces and headquarters of the PG forces which is loyal to PA chief Mahmoud Abbas in the suburb as people there affirmed that security condition in the suburb was smoldering.
The QB for its part vowed to avenge the killing of Maneyya asserting that his killers couldn’t be part of the Palestinian people and accused them of being agents for Israel.
“Despite the truce reached between Hamas and Fatah under the patronage of PA premier Ismail Haneyya the vandal groups that tamper with the future of the Palestinian people kept on their mischievous acts in targeting and killing Palestinian Mujahideen in service of the Zionists” a statement issued by the QB and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC underscored.
Moreover the QB pledged to regard killers of Maneyya as “collaborators” and to deal with them accordingly asserting that it will not entertain any organizational or family cover to shield them from justice.
Furthermore Hamas Movement confirmed that the latest bloody incidents since the assassination of Fatah leader Baha’a Abu Jarad and the subsequent incidents that later followed were parts of a concocted and programmed scheme previously planned and awaited only the suitable moment to be executed on the ground.
“The recent wave of clashes had indeed unmasked the real face of divisiveness-mongers who do not like Palestinian harmony and unity to succeed and thus we have no doubt that they were attached to the Israeli and US intelligence” a statement issued by Hamas and a copy of which was faxed to the PIC highlighted.
