The Hamas Movement has blessed the shooting operation that took place last night near an illegal settlement in al-Khalil and called for more resistance across the occupied territories.
“We bless the heroic operation in al-Khalil that comes within the framework of the ongoing response to the occupation state’s crimes and another step on the way to turning all parts of the West Bank into a fire and flame under the feet of the invaders” Hamas spokesman Abdul-Latif Qanu said in a statement on Saturday.
“Our people will continue their struggle against the occupation and the resistance’s strikes will continue to escalate and expand everywhere” spokesman Qanu underlined.
“The occupation will never succeed in breaking our people’s will or killing the spirit of resistance and controlling its flame” he added.
For its part the Islamic Jihad Movement applauded the shooting operation in al-Khalil as a “natural response to the occupation state and its growing crimes against the Palestinian people.”
Islamic Jihad said that al-Khalil operation sent a message to the occupation state and its leaders that the Palestinian people would remain free and would not stop their struggle for the liberation of their land.
A Palestinian resistance fighter opened fire near the illegal settlement of Kiryat Arba in the occupied West Bank on Saturday night killing a Jewish settler and wounding at least three others one of them seriously according to the Hebrew media.
The resistance fighter later identified as Mohamed al-Jabari was rammed by an Israeli driver and then shot dead by a soldier on the scene.
