The Hamas Movement has described the death of Palestinian prisoner Sami al-Amour that resulted from his exposure to deliberate medical neglect as “an Israeli crime against humanity and a violation of all international values and laws.”
In press remarks Hazem Qasem said that the increase in the number of the Palestinian prisoners who died in Israeli jails to 227 martyrs reflected the size of violations being committed against them especially those with health issues.
For his part Abdul-Latif al-Qanu another Hamas spokesman said that Amour’s death was a new crime reflecting Israel’s brutality and its flagrant disregard for international laws and human rights.
Qanu urged human rights groups to shoulder their responsibilities and work on protecting the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
