The Hamas Movement has warned that any aggressive actagainst the Aqsa Mosque “will be met with fierce resistance from thePalestinian people who will not allow the fire to reach it again” describing theMosque as “a red line.”
“The hand that tries to extend to it (the Aqsa Mosque) willbe cut off” Hamas said in a statement on the 51st anniversary of the arsonattack on the Aqsa Mosque.
The Movement pointed out that Israel’s systematic banishmentof Muslim worshipers from the Aqsa Mosque and the detention of Sheikh Ra’edSalah are attempts to take over the holy site stressing the need for thePalestinians to close ranks to confront the occupation and its malicious plans.
Hamas also expressed its categorical rejection of any stepto normalize Arab ties with the Israeli occupation state calling such practiceas “a stab in the heart of the Palestinian cause” and “a betrayal of the AqsaMosque Jerusalem and Palestine.”
