GAZA (PIC)– The Hamas Movement agreed on Wednesday with the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine that inter-Palestinian dialogue was the only way out of the current political deadlock in the Palestinian arena.
Sami Abu Zuhri a spokesman for the Hamas Movement said in a press release that delegates of both factions affirmed their rejection of deploying international forces in the Gaza Strip.
They also refused to convert civilian traffic in and out of the Gaza Strip from Rafah terminal to the Kerem Shalom crossing.
Both delegations demanded an end to security violations in the west Bank against individuals and institutions the release said adding that the DFLP promised to table a political initiative to end the Palestinian political stalemate.
PA chief Mahmoud Abbas a few weeks ago dismissed the national unity government of Ismail Haneyya and suspended articles in the Palestinian basic law in order to appoint an emergency government. Abbas’s step followed Hamas’s takeover of security buildings in Gaza Strip to purge them of mutiny elements that spread chaos in the Strip.
