The Hamas Movement has said that it is making efforts to build and develop solid relations with Syria in order to serve the Arab nation and their just causes especially the Palestinian question in light of the dramatic regional and international developments.
In a statement on Thursday Hamas asserted its unwavering position in support of the unity of the Syrian people and their land and its rejection of any aggression against them.
The Movement also expressed its support for every sincere effort being made for Syria’s stability safety prosperity and development hoping to see Syria regain its stature and role in the Arab and Islamic worlds.
The Movement applauded the Syrian leadership and people for their role in supporting the Palestinian people and their national cause.
“Syria has embraced the Palestinian people and their resistance factions for long decades so we must stand by it in light of the brutal [Israeli] aggression it is exposed to” Hamas said.
It condemned the repeated Israeli attacks on Syria especially the last strikes that targeted the airports of Damascus and Aleppo reiterating its support for Syria in the face of the persistent Israeli aggression.
It also underlined its keenness on promoting and strengthening its relations with all the parties in the Arab and Islamic worlds especially the supporters of the Palestinian cause describing its position in this regard as a “firm strategy.”
