The Hamas Movement said that theescalating Israeli settlement expansion and demolition of Palestinian civilian structuresconstitute an open war against the Palestinian people and lands.
Hamas was commenting in a statementon Saturday on the new Israeli decision to demolish a school in Ramallah andits plans to build a new settlement in the West Bank city of Salfit.
“The escalating Israeli crimes suchas settlement expansion home demolition and displacement of Palestinians willnot change the Arab identity of the Palestinian lands and will not grant Israellegitimacy” the Movement said adding that Palestinians will continue theirresistance until they regain their national rights.
For his part spokesman of the HamasMovement Hazem Qassem said that the world stands idle by while the Israelicrimes against Palestinians violate international laws and conventionsstressing that human rights institutions must assume their responsibility andstop the Israeli crimes.
“Such crimes will boost thePalestinian resistance’s strength and unity to defend the Palestinian lands andholy sites until they achieve their full liberation and self-determination”spokesman Qassem affirmed.
Earlier on Wednesday the Israelioccupation authority decided to immediately demolish the Ein Samia schoolnortheast of the West Bank city of Ramallah.
