The Hamas Movement has announced the reelection of Ismail Haneyya as head of its political bureau and Saleh al-Aruri as his deputy.
In a statement released on Monday Hamas’s Central Elections Committee said it had finished supervising the stages of the Movement’s internal election process in the three regions (Gaza the West Bank and abroad).
The Election Committee hailed the Hamas members and cadres for actively participating in the internal elections which it said were held in a brotherly and competitive atmosphere and in accordance with the Movement’s internal regulations
The Committee asked Almighty Allah (God) to help Haneyya and al-Aruri successfully assume the tasks they were entrusted with and serve their people and national cause to the fullest.
