The Hamas Movement has condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ persistence in targeting Palestinian journalists as they were covering events in the March of Return border rallies in the Gaza Strip.
In press remarks Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasem described the Israeli shooting of two journalist on Friday in the east of Gaza as another attempt by Israel to obliterate the truth about its crimes aggression and racism.
“The targeting of journalists today was part of a long history of the occupation’s crimes against the Palestinian media so as to make way for its false narration” spokesman Qasem said.
He stressed the need to hold Israel accountable for such disregard for international laws and norms.
Two journalists on Friday suffered injuries when Israeli snipers opened fire at them as they were reporting attacks on the participants in the border rallies.
22 Gaza protesters were also injured by live ammunition.
