Hamas spokesman Jihad Taha has accused the Israeli occupation government of trying to twist the facts on the ground and cover up its serious violations and crimes in Jerusalem through accusing his Movement of escalating the situation and inciting the violence in the holy city.
“This [Israeli] accusation comes as the occupation forces and Jewish settlers persist in their violations at the Aqsa Mosque and in the occupied city of Jerusalem and continue to disturb our Palestinian people’s freedom to practice their worship rituals during the holy month of Ramadan” spokesman Taha said in press remarks to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) on Tuesday.
“This accusation on the other hand gives positive indications about the success of our Palestinian people and their resistance in explaining to the international community their grievances against the worst occupying power in history which keeps stealing land violating holy sites usurping rights and trying to falsify the reality with fabrications and lies” the spokesman added.
He said Israeli premier Naftali Bennett’s incitement accusation against Hamas reflected his failure to present his false story to the world and his attempt to disavow any responsibility for the aggressive practices the Palestinian people are exposed to in Jerusalem.
These remarks by the Hamas spokesman came after Bennett on Monday blamed the recent police violence in Occupied Jerusalem on a “Hamas-led incitement campaign.”
