The Hamas Movement on Thursday said that the Israeli occupation has no legitimacy or sovereignty over Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
“Palestinians will continue confronting the Israeli occupation by all means possible despite its escalating violations” the Movement said on the anniversary of the resolution of the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) that nullified any Jewish historical cultural or religious connection to Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Movement hailed Palestinian freedom fighters in Jerusalem across Palestine and in the diaspora who have been defending Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque calling on Arab and Muslim nations to mobilize support for the Palestinians of Jerusalem until full liberation and return.
It called on the United Nations and all of its organizations to take serious action to criminalize Israel and pressure it into halting its violations at Jerusalem.
On the 13th of October 2021 UNESCO unanimously adopted two resolutions in favor of Palestine during the 212th session of its Executive Council held in the French capital Paris.
