Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum has slammed Israeli premier Yair Lapid for demanding the UN secretary-general to dissolve the commission of inquiry into last year’s 11-day war on Gaza describing such request as “insolent” and “defying the international community.”
In brief remarks on Monday Barhoum said that Lapid’s call for disbanding the commission vindicated further that the Israeli occupation state has no respect for the international law and persists in evading accountability for its crimes against the Palestinian people.
In May 2021 the Israeli occupation army killed more than 200 civilians injured many others and caused massive destruction to homes buildings and infrastructure during 11 days of vicious military aggression against the embattled Gaza Strip.
