The Hamas Movement has described the meetings taking place between its delegation to Cairo and Egyptian officials as “positive” affirming that a delegation from Egypt will leave for Gaza to follow up the inter-Palestinian reconciliation process.
In a press release senior Hamas official Husam Badran said that his Movement’s delegation led by political bureau chief Ismail Haneyya received positive pledges from Egyptian officials especially with regard to the living conditions of the population in Gaza and the efforts to end the national division.
Badran director of Hamas’s national relations office had arrived on Friday in Cairo to join his Movement’s delegation.
He said that his Movement would facilitate the Egyptian delegation’s mission in Gaza and promote confidence-building steps in order to achieve the national unity and pool the efforts to confront the challenges facing the Palestinian cause.
