Hamas Movement on Wednesday deemed the Oslo Accords as “a political crime” and a stab in the back of the Palestinians who sacrificed their souls for the sake of their land and people.
In a statement issued on the 24th anniversary of the Oslo Accords Hamas said that the Palestinian land is indivisible and that any reconciliation initiative with the Israeli occupation is just futile.
“The Oslo bid has only tightened the noose around Palestinians’ neck and has led to a tough financial and commercial blockade before it culminated into an oppressive political blockade” said Hamas.
“Oslo gave a green light to the Israeli occupation to grab hold of our economic and natural resources and to blatantly intervene in every aspect of our daily life” the Movement added.
“The notorious Oslo deal has led to the misappropriation of 78% of our motherland in the blink of an eye . . . This is a barefaced proof that the signatories did not live up to the sacrifices of our martyrs the pains of our wounded people and the agony of our detainees” the statement read. “Such bunch of people is not trustworthy of the national liberation struggle.”
“What has been taken by force can only be retrieved by force. The Palestinian resistance is the only party that can truly speak up for Palestinians’ rights and dreams” it said.
Hamas urged those responsible for striking the deal to reconsider their choices and boost armed resistance against the Israeli occupation.
