Hamas on Thursday said that the meeting between its delegation to Cairo headed by Saleh al-Arouri and minister Abbas Kamel chief of Egypt’s General Intelligence was dominated by frankness and positivity.
Hamas in a statement confirmed the Movement’s persistence to achieve Palestinian unity as the main pathway toward liberation and return of refugees stressing the importance of providing a positive atmosphere to help achieve this goal.
The Movement affirmed that it will be committed to the Egypt-brokered deals reached in 2011 and 2017 and hailed the efforts exerted by Egypt to support the Palestinian cause and end the internal division.
The statement added that the delegation received an Egyptian promise to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people mainly those in Gaza who have been living under an Israeli blockade for over a decade now.
Hamas concluded its statement by saluting the Palestinian people in all Palestinian territories sending regards to the families of martyrs and wishing speedy recovery for the injured and freedom for prisoners.
