Member of Hamas’s political bureau Sami Abu Zuhri has condemned the recent threats made by extremist Jewish settlers about offering animal sacrifices and performing Talmudic rituals on the eve of next Friday at the Aqsa Mosque describing such intents as a “serious development that cannot be condoned by the Palestinian people.”
“The Palestinian people’s resistance options are open to confront such unprecedented escalation” Abu Zuhri said in press remarks on Wednesday.
“There are exceptional developments relating to the Palestinian cause either with regard to the growing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and their holy sites or to the high level of popular readiness to face this aggression” the Hamas official added.
He stressed that the Israeli aggression against Jenin the current siege on its refugee camp and the demolition campaign targeting its homes would not succeed in breaking the Palestinian people’s will.
He affirmed that the Palestinian people and their resistance would confront such Israeli aggression with might and main.
In another statement published on its website the Mamas Movement has warned the leaders of Jewish groups of carrying out their threats to perform animal sacrifice and other rituals at the Aqsa Mosque during the upcoming Passover holiday holding the Israeli occupation government fully responsible for any consequences resulting from such practices.
Hamas described the plans to mark a Jewish event at the Aqsa Mosque as a “dangerous escalation that would cross all the red lines” and a “direct assault on the faith of the Muslim nation.”
The Movement expressed its confidence that the Palestinian people from across the Palestinian land would never allow such “criminal” plan against the Aqsa Mosque to take place and would face it strongly and bravely.
