The Hamas Movement has affirmed that the Palestinian people will not stand idly by watching the Aqsa Mosque being exposed to daily desecration and attempts to Judaize it.
In press remarks to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) on Saturday Hamas spokesman Jihad Taha said that the Palestinian resistance from all factions would help its people stand in the face of the persistent Israeli violations at the Aqsa Mosque.
“The Aqsa Mosque is an essential part of the [Islamic] faith and we will defend it with might and main in order to thwart the schemes that aim to build the alleged temple and projects replacing Jerusalem’s landmarks” spokesman Jihad said.
The spokesman expressed his belief that the Palestinian people’s steadfastness and will would foil Israel’s Judaization plans in the holy city.
He called on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to voice an “honorable position” against Israel’s violations at the Aqsa Mosque.
He also called on the Arab and Muslim nations to stand by the Palestinian people in their struggle to defend the Aqsa Mosque.
