Hamas: Our struggle cannot stop without ending the occupation

Monday 8-August-2022

The Hamas Movement has described three days of fighting in Gaza as “another round of the ongoing and intense confrontation with the Israeli occupation state” which “cannot stop without its removal from Palestine.”

In press remarks on Sunday Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said that this round of fighting vindicated further that “there is no aggression or occupation at no cost.”

Spokesman Barhoum added that the renewed Israeli aggression against Gaza showed to the world once again the ugliness of the Israeli crimes and massacres that had been committed against the Palestinians in Gaza.

He underlined that what happened in Gaza confirmed that the normalization deals with the occupation state and the efforts to integrate it into the region pose a great danger to the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.

A ceasefire took effect on Sunday night after Egyptian mediators succeeded in ending three days of fighting between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation state.

45 Palestinians mostly civilians and including children have so far been killed and the death toll is likely to climb as other citizens suffer from serious injuries.
