“The Palestinian refugees’ right of return is one of the basic human rights that are enshrined in divine laws and international resolutions and thus cannot be revoked by the Israeli occupation and the US deal of the century” the Hamas Movement has said.
This came in a statement issued by Hamas’s refugee affairs office on Thursday on the occasion of the World Refugee Day.
“This annual event has come as the humanitarian situation of the Palestinian refugees is worsening and the humanitarian services provided by UNRWA in the five refugee areas have seen a significant reduction and decline” Hamas underlined.
It pointed out that UNRWA has direct responsibility for providing support for the refugees mainly shelter food medicine and education improving them and ensuring their continuity until the Palestinian refugees return to their homes and areas.
Hamas’s refugee affairs office also appealed to the Lebanese government to enact legislation granting the Palestinian refugees in the country the right to own property and work and to deal with them from a political perspective and not from a security perspective.
