The Hamas Movement on Tuesday condemned the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) for confiscating dozens of dunums of Palestinian-owned lands and approving a new settlement plan in the Jenin governorate north of the West Bank.
Spokesman of the Hamas Movement Hazem Qassem said that confiscating about 87 dunums of Palestinian-owned lands and approving the settlement plan in Ya’bad and Aneen towns in Jenin constitute new Israeli aggression.
“The Israeli settlement policy which violates the international laws and conventions will not grant it legitimacy” spokesman Qassem confirmed adding that the Palestinian people will continue confronting the Israeli plans by all means until there will be no place for the occupier in the Palestinian holy sites and lands.
Earlier today Applied Research Institute – Jerusalem (ARIJ) revealed that the IOA approved a new settlement project to build 107 settlement units in the illegal settlement of Tal Menashe established on Palestinian-owned lands in Jenin.
“The newly approved settlement is geographically linked to an older one approved in February 2019 to build 79 settlement units on 91 dunums of Palestinian-owned lands in Ya’bad” ARIJ added.
