Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum has said that the bet is big on the West Bank’s ability to engage in an all-out and open confrontation with the Israeli occupation state and make it pay dearly for its presence on the Palestinian land.
In press remarks on Saturday Barhoum described the West Bank as “a strategic reservoir of resistance.”
The spokesman underlined that the last armed clashes that happened with the occupation forces in Silwad town in east Ramallah on Friday reflected the revolutionary fighting spirit of the West Bank youth.
He expressed his belief that the West Bank young people “cannot surrender to any fait accompli or succumb to the occupation’s policies.”
He stressed that there is no force on earth that can prevent the revolutionary youth of the West Bank from carrying out their sacred duty in confronting the Israeli aggression and defending the Palestinian people whatever the cost and sacrifices.
On Friday evening armed clashes took place with the IOF at the main entrance of Silwad town.
Local sources said that the resistance fighter who exchanged fire with the IOF withdraw from the area.
In recent weeks and months the IOF came under fire from Palestinian resistance fighters several times in different West Bank areas.
