The Hamas Movement has stressed that the occupation state’s attempts to obliterate the Palestinian identity of Jerusalem and its historical Arab and Islamic landmarks will be doomed to failure.
“Jerusalem City with the Aqsa Mosque at its heart is an integral part of the historical land of Palestine” Hamas said in a statement on the 55th anniversary of the occupation of east Jerusalem.
“The occupation state has no sovereignty or authority over the holy city” Hamas added.
The Movement called on the Arab governments to reconsider any normalization deals alliances and partnerships they have with the occupation state and align themselves with the justice of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people’s right to liberation and self-determination.
“There is a need for the international community with its states and organizations to take serious action and assume its responsibilities to put an end to the occupation state’s crimes and its settlement and Judaization policies against Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites” Hamas underlined.
It urged the Arab and Muslim nations to make every effort to strengthen the Palestinian people’s steadfastness and their struggle for their rights and the liberation of their land.
