The Hamas Movement has said that the shooting operation near Ofra settlement in the occupied West Bank has reiterated the Palestinian people’s right to resist the occupation until the liberation of their land.
“The West Bank is taking the initiative today in resisting the occupation and responding to its ongoing attacks against our people” Hamas stated in a press release on Sunday.
“The operation indicates the presence of the [Palestinian] resistance in the occupied West Bank despite attempts to eradicate it and also proves the resistance’s ability to hurt the enemy and penetrate its fortifications in the most sensitive security sites” Hamas said.
At least seven Jewish settlers were wounded one critically in a drive-by shooting in the occupied West Bank on Sunday night. The settlers were standing by a hitch-hiking station near Ofra settlement according to The Jerusalem Post.
