GAZA (PIC)– Hamas Movement has accused PA chief Mahmoud Abbas and his cohorts in Ramallah city of mortgaging themselves and the sacred Palestinian issue to the American-Israeli political will.
In a statement it issued Tuesday and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC Hamas pointed out that the champions of Geneva Initiative form most of Abbas’s inner circle and they started to surface out and publicly announce the drop of the RoR of the Palestinian refugees.
Salam Fayyad the “prime minister” of Abbas’s “unconstitutional” government in Ramallah city had earlier assured the Israeli occupation government that the RoR could only be implemented with Israel’s consent.
The Fayyad’s assurance apparently couldn’t be swallowed in the Palestinian arena amidst the overwhelming national consensus of adhering to that inalienable right.
The features of the malicious conspiracy against the Palestinian national venture are becoming clearer everyday starting from the bundle of the hasty and unconstitutional edicts by Abbas with the aim to deepen the geographical separation between Gaza Strip and the West Bank the Movement added in the statement.
“In less than a month Abbas issued a bundle of decrees that inflicted tremendous harm on the Palestinian resistance by outlawing it in addition to his efforts to pressure the Palestinian resistance fighters into laying down their arms and halting the legitimate resistance against Israel in exchange for futile Israeli amnesty” the statement explained.
Furthermore Hamas regretted Abbas’s rejection of persisting calls from Hamas for national dialogue in order to resolve all inter-Palestinian disputes and to preserve the Palestinian national project while he (Abbas) rushes for meetings with Israeli officials unconditionally.
In this regard Hamas shrugged off Abbas’s meetings with Israeli premier Ehud Olmert and viewed it as an attempt by Abbas to ally himself with the Israelis against his fellow Palestinians describing any agreement that resulted out of those meetings as “unworthy of the ink it was written with”.
“Dialogue and dialogue only is the sole means to end the political impasse in the Palestinian arena” the statement added describing Abbas’s agreement with the Israelis to tighten the siege on Gaza as an “unforgivable crime”.
The Movement also asserted in apparent reaction to US president George W. Bush’s call for an international conference on the Palestinian issue that the road for peace in the Middle East is very clear and represented by helping the Palestinian people in retrieving their usurped legal rights and by helping them establish their independent state on their own land.
