Hamas activists among 11 Palestinians kidnapped by Israeli army

At least 11 Palestinians including Hamas activists were kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from the West Bank at daybreak Thursday.

Reporting from Nablus province a PIC news correspondent said Israeli army patrols stormed the Old Askar camp and wreaked havoc on civilian homes before they kidnapped the Palestinian ex-prisoner Ahmad Sakr nicknamed Abu Bseir.

Abu Bseir a renowned Hamas activist in the West Bank had spent a total of 15 years in Israeli jails mostly in administrative detention. He has been diagnosed with critical diseases inflicted by the dire detention circumstances he had been made to endure in Israeli lock-ups.

Palestinian civilian Rami Abu Hweila was also kidnapped by the IOF from his own family home in the area.

The occupation patrols further stormed Jenin’s southern town of Akaba and ravaged civilian homes before they kidnapped the prominent anti-occupation activist Sheikh Mustafa Abu Ara also an ex-prisoner. His son Zaid was subjected to intensive questioning in the process.

The IOF also arrested the Palestinian civilian Omar Waleed Abu Ara in Akaba.

Another Palestinian citizen was kidnapped by the IOF from Ramallah’s eastern town of Silwad in the central West Bank.

At the same time the occupation army kidnapped three Palestinians from al-Khalil’s towns of Bani Na’im Beit Ummar and Terkoumia.

The IOF soldiers further broke into Azzoun town to the east of Qalqilya province and kidnapped three Palestinian citizens.

Meanwhile the Israeli occupation army claimed responsibility for the abduction of 11 Palestinians from the West Bank on claims of involvement in anti-occupation activities.
