GAZA (PIC)– Hamas has appreciated the positions of the European parliamentary delegation in support of the Palestinian people’s rights and constants hoping that such positions will keep on growing until they crystallize into strong pressure on all parties especially the American administration that champions the continuation of the siege on the Palestinian people.
“We welcome the advanced positions of the European parliamentary delegation which support the Palestinian people’s rights and constants especially those concerning the need for dialogue with Hamas and for lifting the siege on our people” Fawzi Barhoum Hamas’s spokesman in the Strip stated in a press release received by the PIC.
He also hailed the delegates’ positions that condemn the suspension of supporting development projects and the health sector which foreshadows a human health and social catastrophe due to the Israeli occupation’s continued policy of blockade and starvation against the Palestinian people.
Barhoum extended thanks to the European parliamentary delegates who visited the Palestinian lands including the Gaza Strip and expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people and just issues. He also praised their support for the democratic choice of the Palestinian people.
The spokesman finally lauded the positions of many European countries which started to recognize the importance of Hamas’s presence in the political arena within and outside Palestine.
