GAZA (PIC)– The Hamas Movement on Saturday appreciated the noble stands of Arab and Islamic masses who participated in massive marches in various Arab and Islamic countries to declare solidarity with the Palestinian people and its just cause.
Fawzi Barhoum one of Hamas’s spokesmen in Gaza said in a press release that the marches which affirmed that the issue of Jerusalem and Palestine would remain alive in the conscience of all Arabs and Muslims called on the Arab and Islamic countries to continue their support for the Palestinian people’s resistance.
He also asked them to boost the Palestinians’ steadfastness on their land so that they could protect Jerusalem and Palestine in face of liquidation projects.
The spokesman also asked Arab and Islamic leaders to adopt a more “firm and courageous” position in refusing the Zio-American project that supports “Israel’s terrorism and tightened siege” against the Palestinian people.
He said that Hamas believes that the US-sponsored autumn conference is meant to obtain Arab recognition of and normalization with Israel in addition to sidestepping the Palestinian constants which entail “fatal dangers” on the future of the entire cause.
Hundreds of thousands of Arabs and Muslims on Friday hit the streets of various Arab and Islamic capitals to declare support for the Palestinian people and to reject the Israeli criminal practices against the Palestinians and the holy Islamic shrines in Jerusalem and Palestine on the occasion of the Quds (Jerusalem) Day that is observed yearly in the last Friday of the fasting month of Ramadan.
