GAZA (PIC)– Hamas briefed Palestinian factions human rights organisations and university lecturers on the negotiations to reach the prisoner exchange deal since the capture of Gilad Shalit till the signing of the deal.
Hamas senior official Ismail Radwan talked about the preparations underway to receive the freed captives and invited those attending the meeting to participate in the official reception to be held for the freed captives and in the celebrations that will continue till the second stage of deal.
Radwan briefed the meeting on the West Bank captives who will be freed to Gaza saying that they will be accommodated in hotels at the start but a suitable accommodation will be found for each of them.
On the question of freed captives not being targeted by the Israeli occupation Radwan said: “Egypt provided guarantees that the deal will be implemented in full but we are used to Israeli occupation reneging on agreements.” He stressed if Israel targets or assassinates any of the freed captive that would be a stupid move on their part and resistance will be ready to reply to such an act.
The factions for their part said that the deal is a national achievement and praised the Egyptian role in mediating the deal.
They also praised the martyrs who participated in the capture of Gilad Shalit and called for efforts to retrieve the bodies of those martyrs from Israeli occupation detention.
