GAZA (PIC)– Dr. Sami Abu Zuhri Hamas spokesman in Gaza called on President Abbas to boycott the US sponsored autumn conference as a response to the US administration’s declaration of the Gaza Strip a “hostile entity”.
He added that Abbas’s criticism of the Israeli decision to consider the Gaza Strip a “hostile entity” is not enough and what is really needed is a practical stand because it does not make sense that bilateral meetings between Abbas and the Israelis take place while the Israeli occupation government is continually committing aggressions against the Palestinian people and declaring the Gaza Strip a “hostile entity”. Adding that it is not acceptable to go to the autumn conference after such declarations by the Israeli occupation and the US administration.
He also said in his press statement that such a declaration by the Israeli occupation is meant to cover for the daily Israeli crimes against the Palestinian people.
He criticised the US administration’s decision to follow the Israeli occupation and make the same declaration against the Gaza Strip saying that such a decision puts the U.S in direct enmity with the Palestinian people and the Islamic world. He added that the US administration has proved with such a declaration that it is a partner in crime with the Israeli occupation.
