The Hamas Movement has called on the Palestinian masses to join forces in defense of the Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in Khalil.
The Movement condemned the Israeli occupation army for announcing the closure of Ibrahimi Mosque in al-Khalil City to Muslim worshipers on Monday and Tuesday to allow Jewish settlers to celebrate Passover at the Mosque.
In a statement on Monday the Movement termed the closure as “a blatant violation of the Mosque’s sanctity and a provocative step against Muslims.”
The Movement hailed the bravery and steadfastness of Palestinians in Al-Khalil while facing the Israeli occupation and its settler groups urging the Palestinian citizens from across the occupied territories to start marching en masse to protect Al-Ibrahimi Mosque against desecration.
